No, not a real one. But last night Alex recieved his Wolf badge from scouts (and I got my mom wolf pin). He has been working hard since his birthday, last July, to get this, and has now completed all 12 achivements. He also got a gold arrow point and three silver arrow points (each requiring 10 electives to earn-so that equals 40 electives so far). Then to top it all off he earned his bowling, iceskating, fishing, and flag football beltloops as well. Way to go Alex, we are proud of you!!!

Late Easter Present
Today we finally had our wood floor installed. After much deliberation, many e
stimates, and research we finally decided on the hand scraped red oak. Here are some pictures of todays work. Actually it isn't done, in a few weeks they will be coming back to scrape it and stain it darker. But at least you can get the idea. Also if you look close, in some of the pictures you can see the crown molding that Geoff has been putting up all over our down stairs.

Easter
For Easter we went with some friends (Matt & Emily Bell) out to Tyler Texas and the Bell Family Farm Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a blast. Dyeing Easter eggs, strings beads for Easter necklaces, barrel train rides, fishing (I actually caught my first fish, 3"), family pictures, volleyball, parachute, and of course an egg hunt. Alex even managed to find a few boys who wanted to play football with him, he sure loves to play sports. We ended the day tired and sunburned but very happy.

Perfect Season
Alex just finished a perfect season in his basketball league. His team, The Warriors (as in the Stripling Warriors-they were all LDS), went undefeated their whole season, including their preseason tournament.
Now he is starting flag football. He won his first game, but we will keep you posted on that as well.
Children's Song
Four Generations
This past February my Grandpa Smith pasted away. Every year growing up we looked forward to summer to visit my grandparents in Missouri. I was even lucky enough to go on a few vacations with just my grandparents. So it was with great sadness that my family and I made our way up to Missouri. However, mixed blessing come with everything, and we were able to have quite the family reunion there. Everyone of my cousins and most of their families were able to make it. Also I was able to visit again with my parents, aunts, uncles and my grandma, whom I've always loved to talk with. While we were all together I was able to get this four generation picture and thought I would share it with ya'll. (See Texas is rubbing off on me now) This is me, my mom, my grandma, and Hayley.
Tag, I Am It!
Ok, I guess this is Shelley's way of telling me that I don't update my blog often enough. As most of you can tell, most of my posts are pictures. So my excuse is I sent my camera to Saudi Arabia with Geoff, then we went to my Grandpa's funeral, and plus I was working. Ok, enough excuses, here is my answers and I will post more pictures soon.
What is his name? Geoffrey Gillespie (it is the English spelling, pronounced Jeff)
How long have you been married? We have been married 11 1/2 years! (Wow, I can't believe it)
How long did you date? We met 2 days after Christmas 1995, got engaged during my reading days before finals at BYU (April 1996), and were married July 18, 1996, so I guess that makes 6 1/2 months?
How old is he? 36 years old (37 June 2nd and I will be 33 June 1st)
Who eats more? He eats, I snack.
Who said, "I love you" first? He did.
Who is taller? He is, I'm 5'5.5" he is 6".
Who can sing better? Geoff definitely, I love to hear him sing when I sit by him in church. (Although this is a talent I always wish I had, so perhaps I sing louder:)
Who is smarter? He is, I have to study tons to ace a test, and he just looks it over and scores the same. Although I am willing to study, and sometimes he just tries it without any prep, and then I do better.
Who does the laundry? I do. Unless I wait to long and then sometimes he throws in a load or folds it. (I love when he folds it because the army trained him to do it so exact!)
Who pays the bills? Geoff does all the auto set ups, but anything requiring a paper check I take care of.
Who sleeps on the right side? Geoff
Who mows the lawn? Geoff, although he did teach me how to this last year. I much rather do outside chores then be stuck cleaning the house, but with 3 brothers didn't get much of a chance. And like everyone else we have to do the "drive by " after. He used to be in the yard mowing business so he likes to critique it and everyone else's we pass.
Who cooks dinner? Me
Who does the dishes? Me, unless once again I wait to long, then Geoff will pitch in.
Who drives? Geoff is the driver. Although on long trips when he is very tired I get a turn. He's rather deal with the road then the kids. Plus I don't like driving, avoid it at all costs especially in new areas, so Geoff got me a car with a navigation system so that I will be somewhat adventurous.
Who is more stubborn? We are both pretty stubborn. There are several disagreements we have that we are waiting till the next life to solve.
Who kissed who first? Geoff kissed me first on his mom's steps with Ryan in the next room. Nothing like dating your brother's old mission companion.
Who asked who out first? He asked me out the day we met so that we could double with Ryan. I always thought that it was a pity date since he didn't know anyone else and had only been home from his mission a week. I later found out that he asked Ryan if that would be OK, and he thought I was cute.
Who proposed? Geoff did, on a hike up a canyon. He knew my love for the outdoors.
Who is more sensitive? I am. Although, I have to give him credit he is getting better at picking up hints.
Who has more siblings? We are the same. Second of 6, 3 boys and 3 girls each.
Who wears the pants? I am proud to say that we are pretty equal. We both have strong opinions, but we seem to want what is best for each other at the same time.
I feel very lucky to have ended up with Geoff, and love him tons. I have a lot more flaws then he does and he somehow puts up with them all and still loves me. He is the best thing that ever happened to me, I guess that is why I married him! :) I don't know who else to Tag as between Shelley and Becky all my family is taken. So whoever hasn't had a turn that would just love to share a little about yourself...go for it!
