Bakstetball

1-2-3 Go Eagles!

Alex's basketball team this year is called the Eagles.
They don't have very many players, but they are fast and good shots, and have won every game so far. His number is 32, so look for him in the shots.

Geoff is the assistant coach, and I couldn't resist this picture as he and Alex were watching the game.

Alex's plays a mean guard (as they can't do a full court press until after half time)and does a fine job of stopping the other team.
Alex also uses his speed and ball handling skills to bring the ball down court. He is always dribbling, shooting or moving this way or that, and even with my new camera I have a hard time catching him without him being a blur. I have had fun experimenting with the different settings, so bear with me over the next few weeks as I continue to try to catch him in the action.

This one was my favorite this week. Everyone is a total blur but him. I found an HP website that teachers you different ways to take pictures, and so I decided to try one out, what do you think?

Happy New Year

Looking back at 2008 we realize how blessed we were to have each of you in our lives. Little moments make memories that we will treasure for a life time. Thanks you all for your love and support this last year. And may we all have a wonderful 2009....Cheers!

Nothing like ringing in the New Year with sparkling cider in Dixie cups!

We enjoyed our last night of '08 with Ryan, Shelley, Laura, Brent and kids. A quiet night with family is just the way to spend it. Although I don't know if you would count a night of Rock Band and confetti poppers as quiet!
