Halloween x 3

Hayley and I learned how to make aprons together and I taught her how to sew.

Alex

Hayley's Hawk team had a fun Halloween party for the players and cheerleaders.
They had hay rides, chili, cider, trunk or treating and bon fires.
The girls on the hayride.

Emma, Tessa, Hayley, Hannah, Erin, Tessa and Audrey trying to stay warm.

The boys asked the girls to do a few cheers around the camp fire.

Our ward trunk or treat...

Me, Hayley and Julie in our matching aprons.

(Hayley liked sewing so much she wanted to try and make an apron for her doll, so we made a pattern and Hayley sewed it up)

Hayley's friend the artist.

What nerds!!!

(Alex & Seth)

For dessert on Halloween night, I thought it would be fun to make doughnuts. I am not very experienced with yeast, but they turned out pretty yummy!

They had to ask each other questions on how much they knew of each other.

Then it was time to get ready for the date......first Dad needed a shave...

..then a little help dressing up with a tie...

This is new, and a little scary to watch as a parent.

The girls were so excited when Amber came to watch them cheer.

Hayley and her friend Hannah Smith.

Hayley won the spirit stick one week and called the cheers and the next game.

She did a great job.

Look at her smile and confidence.

Oreo

By working extra hard in school, and overcoming her struggle with math, Hayley earned a reward. She picked a guinea pig and named her Oreo.
Hayley holding her new little pig.

Alex and Hayely watching her walk.
Oscar didn't quite know what to think of her, but since she has bigger teeth then him, he mostly leaves her alone. Although occasionally her tries to get her to play with him and he likes to steal her treats.

4th of July Camp Out

We tried for a second annual McClellan camp out, but wised up this time and used a cabin. We camped up on Clark's Dry Farm at Aunt Pam's cabin. The next morning, Grandpa and Bruce took Ryan, Seth, David, Christian, Michael and Alex on a 5 miles hike. This ended up being an 8 hour hike!!! The mothers were worried and took turns driving out the four wheeler to see if we could see them coming. Finally they returned just in time for dinner. They wear hot and tired, but had great stories to tell, and an experience they will never forget. While the boys were gone, we took other kids on four wheeler rides...

... and tired our hand and shooting. Nathan, cousin Sara Sevy and Geoff

The next morning we made it in time to watch Morgan's 4th of July Parade. We took up half the street with just our family. Good thing the parade went both directions and we didn't miss anything.
