Texas Snow Storm

Record snow fell in Texas starting the evening of Feb. 10 through early morning on the 12th. Not only was there lots of snow, but it was beautiful packing snow as well. The kids had to go to school on Thursday, but by Friday everyone was staying home, from school at least. I met more people in my neighborhood this day then I have yet.

All we have are knit gloves, double socks, long johns, and great knit hats (thanks Sandy) to keep warm.

Almost every other yard had a snowman in it. I loved driving around seeing all of them, tall ones, baby ones, beach ones, ones with Mohawks or girl friends, rustic and glamorful...I loved them all. This was ours.

Oscar didn't really like the snow, but finally decided if he wanted to play he would have to go out. So we put on his sweater and let him sniff it. (However, we still had shovel the grass or he wouldn't use the bathroom)

Christian, Alex and Seth loved roughing it through the trees, over streams and ambushing all who came near.
